When Regenerative Ranching went «mainstream»

Regenerative ranching becomes a global trend as it reaches the general public with Netflix

Today is one of those days when we are so happy about something that happens outside of Poultree that we are not going to talk about our farm.
As many of you already know, Regenerative Agriculture and Ranching are those that, by imitating the natural processes of the grassland ecosystem, have a quantifiable and direct impact in favor of restoring life in the soil by increasing the organic matter layer.
During this process, the plant stratum uses atmospheric carbon as «raw material.» The regeneration of soils is, therefore, the best tool to capture the surplus carbon emitted into the atmosphere.
Additionally, the organic matter in the soil acts as a natural «sponge» with a great capacity for water retention. This effect is what will allow us to retain the increasingly scarce rainfall and allow the pastures to continue growing to feed our animals.
Well, in the fall, Netflix published a documentary about Regenerative Agriculture and Ranching promoted by several of the most important groups worldwide within this sector entitled «Kiss the Ground.»

You know that, for those of us ranchers who practice this type of management, it is often difficult to convey in detail the ecological importance of our work, so we view this broadcast with great enthusiasm as a dissemination tool that is easily accessible to the general public.
This new vision of ranching suggests that the solution to climate change is not the synthetic hamburger, but the production of meat from animals raised following the principles of regenerative ranching.

We leave you here the trailer, which can be seen subtitled in Spanish, after its premiere next Tuesday.
